Baywick's modern Victorian Cottage was built and designed by Tim in 2010. He used many of the original features from 51 Domett St.( previously the Baywick Inn) and that of an 1890's cottage we loved in the small historic town of Niagara on the Lake, Canada. The house has also been designed to be environmentally friendly.
Being north facing guests will enjoy the morning sun which comes streaming in through the French doors which open to the enclosed patio where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast during summer.
As members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, Janet and Tim both enjoy sharing with guests the history of many of Nelson's Historic homes and sites.
Tim owns Baywick's Wine Cellars, the only New Zealand company that manufactures redwood wine racks and designs custom made wine cellars.
You might also enjoy seeing our classic MG. Tim spends a great deal of time designing and running the local 'trolley derby' for children.
The Baywick Inn is also home to Wizzard, Wizz for short, the wire haired fox terrier who only greets guests at their request and who loves to take guests for a walk along the riverside walkway.
